Sound Off! Young & Free Maine Music Competition

Young & Free Maine is asking to hear from Maine musicians ages 18-25 through their Sound Off Music Competition! From February 1 to March 5, the contest will be open to individuals, groups or artists.

"Maine has an exciting music scene that continues to grow and evolve," Seth Poplaski, Maine's Young & Free Spokester, said. "I know that 'Sound Off' will really let these musicians shine and offer an opportunity that is very unique - with a prize of both stage and studio time!"

Sound Off entrants must be between 18-25 years of age (in the case of bands, at least one member must be ages 18-25), and must not be under a recording contract. The winning band will receive a $1000 gift certificate to Main Street Studio to be used for a recording session of their choice, and the opportunity to perform live at the 2012 KahBang festival.
