The year was 1938. The minimum wage was 40 cents an hour, a loaf of bread cost 5 cents and an average home sold for $3,000. Such were the times when Oxford Federal Credit Union was formed.
Oxford Federal Credit Union was chartered on March 8, 1938. Over the past sixty plus years we have grown tremendously and continue to grow both in membership and asset size.
Our philosophy is to provide members with personalized, quality service while assisting them in achieving financial success. For the past 60 plus years, volunteers and employees have worked together to make that mission a reality and our intentions remain the same as those of our founders.
Simply put - "people helping people."
